Through the coupon link method, the customer will be able to automatically set the coupon discount to be applied on the payment page without having to write down the discount code.
First, you have to create a coupon from the coupons menu. Once you have created the coupon, the system will automatically apply discount by adding the coupon_code variable to the buy now link. In the following example, the customer will be visiting the checkout page, and the coupon discount is automatically applied.
It is simple to use and gives you the possibility to improve your strategy. The customer does not need to type the code manually on the checkout page and can make much fewer clicks to complete the payment.
P.S. Be sure to check the coupon and coupon link you have created. Click on your coupon link and see if the discount applies automatically. Check back after the first coupon sale. Sometimes you may have made the wrong settings when you created the coupon code. If you set the "usage limit per coupon" to 1, your voucher will only be valid for one sale, and on the next purchase, the customer will receive a note stating that this coupon can not be used. Such situations can lead to loss of sales, so always test your newly created coupon.
